These traditional artisan Tuscan 'Cantucci' biscuits are light and crunchy and made with Italian almonds. Deseo Cantuccini are hand made, baked on a daily basis and without any type of preservative or indeed palm oil.
A typical Tuscan dessert, said to have been conceived originally in Prato, they are traditionally enjoyed dipped into sweet Vin Santo. They are also great with coffee or cappuccino and make a lovely gift.
PGI Status - What does it mean?
These Cantuccini have PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) status which is awarded to a product originating in a specific place, region or country whose given quality, reputation or other characteristic is essentially attributable to its geographical origin and at least one of the production steps of which takes place in the defined geographical area.
